The conference, in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution of the China Electricity Council, adopted an anonymous voting method to elect the seventh executive director, and all 89 candidates for executive director were elected according to the established election process; On this basis, Luo Qianyi, Secretary of the Party Group and Chairman of China Eastern Electric Group Co., Ltd., was elected as the President of the 7th Board of Directors, and 32 comrades including Jian Jingwen, Bai Wenbo, and Huang Yuming were elected as Vice Presidents. Bai Wenbo also served as the Secretary General of the China Electric Power Association.

The first session of the seventh council approved the membership management measures, press spokesperson system, division of labor plan for the president and resident leaders, and the proposal for Vice President Jian Jingwen to serve as the legal representative and press spokesperson of the China Electricity Association through a show of hands vote, providing a solid organizational guarantee for the association's next development.

The newly appointed chairman Luo Qianyi and the newly appointed supervisor Li Fang successively delivered speeches on their appointment. Luo Qianyi has deployed relevant tasks in six aspects, including strengthening the leadership of party building, special rectification of chaos, planning industry development, focusing on the key points of the 15th Five Year Plan, enhancing service capabilities, and gathering industry synergy. He stated that the new council will promote work in a closed-loop manner, using member satisfaction to test the effectiveness of performance, and help build a strong manufacturing and energy country.

Li Fang proposed a work plan for the new supervisory board from six aspects: strengthening party building leadership, focusing on main responsibilities and businesses, improving institutional systems, innovating supervision methods, strengthening self construction, and deepening collaborative exchanges.

Guo Yan, Deputy Director of the Industry Development Department of the China Electric Power Association, presented a report titled "Economic Operation of the Electrical and Electrical Industry in the First Half of 2026". Based on the accelerated restructuring of the growth logic of the electrical and electrical industry and the continued expansion of the industry, the report analyzed the operation of major economic indicators, production of key products, market demand and investment, import and export operations, procurement manager index, industry problems and challenges, analyzed and predicted the industry operation situation, and provided a solid data foundation and situation basis for the new council to implement precise policies and deepen industry services.
